Welcome to our newsletter, where we share news and updates from the Cancer Houses supported by Helping Hands Across the Sands.

A big thank you from everyone staying at the Cancer Houses, to those of you who link hands and provide them with support. This week we delivered many bags of donated linen, pillows, kitchen items, lamps, bedside tables and bits! Wow what a fantastic donation. Thanks to the wonderful donors we really need bedding.
Again many QV products have been donated, these are so good for the skin which after Chemotherapy and radiotherapy the skin is damaged and in need of some tender loving care
.
We were also gifted from an amazing lady named Claire a fully automated electric hospital bed.
This bed is specifically for limited movement patients that need to be moved regularly to alleviate pressure sores.
Well we sent the bed to our Rumah berbagi bersama house. There are at anytime up to 15 adults in this house, and we thought this house would need it for the type of patients there. So a massive Thankyou Claire Johnson we really appreciate you helping us with this bed.
Noe they just need to work out how to get it into the house! The delivery men are working this out.
Healing Through Play
We have been busy this week with craft. Seeing as Easter is near we thought why not make some cool Easter Bunnies.Cutting and glueing is great for motor skills, designing is good for the adults and children alike to keep themselves busy, this adds to many laughs and smiles. We all love craft days and boy are they creative.
The Spirit of Home
Each house is home to the patients and carers/parents while treatment is given here in Bali. This is why we are all one big family we like to help each house individually depending on their needs. This week we were donated many new polo shirts from the wonderful Darwin ladies that support Helping Hands Across the Sands. row joined us on this day so we took the shirts to a house with mainly adults that we knew really needed them. So Thank-you ladies we really appreciate your donations.
