Who are we?
One global village, countless acts of kindness
Linking Hands is a fundraising initiative of Helping Hands Across the Sands, who support five Cancer Houses in Denpasar, Bali. Here we share stories from the sick children & adults we meet in the cancer houses, who travel to Bali to receive critical, often life-saving, medical treatment.
The charity provides essential support to patients and their families, including:
Safe and comfortable accommodation during treatment
Transportation assistance from the ferry terminal to the houses
Vital milk powder supplies for children and adults
Support with purchasing medications
Provision of diapers
Weekly activity sessions offering patients and caregivers a chance to participate in crafts, games, and other enriching activities.
Respite days filled with fun activities, giving patients and caregivers a welcome break from their daily challenges and a chance to forget about illness for a while.
As our global village grows, so do the acts of kindness within it.
"Helping Hands Across The Sands" work under Yayasan Kasih Antar Pulau or Bali Community Services as a registered charity in Bali. Finances are operated from Australia.
